Remote control helicopter relies mainly on the rotors to take off, fly and land. So a tail rotor must be added to offset the torque, balance the body not to rotate. But it is not enough to just reply on the balance of the tail rotor. So the use of gyroscope is required. It can automatically compensate to servo control (steering) according to the swing of the machine body , change the angle of the tail rotor to balance the body. Remote control helicopters practice methods for new beginners
Remote control helicopter beginners must recognize that the remote control helicopter is not a toy. It works the same as the real flying aircraft. Warmly remind you to be careful with the remote control and pay attention to safety. Helicopters must be in a safe context in order to bring you a pleasant experience. If you want your remote control helicopters to fly as soon as possible, in addition to exercise, you should also pay attention to practice methods. In order that you can have a fast start , we summed up the following training methods for your reference.
1.Know proficiently and keep in mind the functions of each joystick on the remote control and the role of fine-tuning. (See instructions)
2. Pre-flight preparations. First check whether the 8 AA batteries has been inserted into your remote control and make sure the battery power is sufficient (select the appropriate flight site)
3 Open the remote control power and check the power indicator (light) and make sure the right lever (throttle) is at the bottom. Then turn the helicopter fuselage power . Please do not operate the remote control immediately after the machine body is on power. Do not move the helicopter for about 5 seconds to ensure the normal gyro detection and lock.
4. When practice , it is best to use the "frog jump" method. Firstly stand at a distance about 3 meters away from the helicopter , and ensure that the helicopter tail aligns you (if the helicopter nose aims you, your operation is the reverse). Then slowly push the throttle lever to spin up the helicopter propeller and propeller high-speed rotation will lift the helicopter slowly ... slowly ... On the first flight , please do not operate the helicopter off the ground higher than 1 meter and learn to control the helicopter's flight direction in the process. If it's slowly losing control , pull the throttle lever down to slow down the helicopter . And practice repeatedly as "frog jump" .

6. Please often remain the remote control helicopter completely parallel with the ground in practice and keep it at a vertical taking off and landing
posture, and pay attention to the landing action. While Landing , please make the machine body glide a little forward to avoid the tail land down first .
Helicopter take-off skills
In fact, helicopters practice is the handfeel practice , still being the old saying: face the remote control helicopter tail, no matter how the remote control helicopter flys , remain yourself align its tail , push the throttle to take it off.
There are skills to push the throttle . Slowly push 0 Push to speed up the propeller rotation . Before the propeller generates lift to pull the machine body up , you must quickly push the throttle to make it take off quickly , but you must not push the throttle too much . Please do not only push to the half , otherwise the helicopter will run brushing the ground or ramp to one side.
If you are nervous and not dare to push the throttle when the helicopter is moving , the helicopter will always run brushing the ground or ramping to one side , or you fear that you do not know how to control it after it takes off and not dare to push the throttle , then the remote control helicopter will become a lawnmower. This is not because the helicopter is bad , but the method to push the throttle is not right .This is why many people buy a remote control helicopter , go back home and find that it does not fly at all .
You can let it fly it at a height of one meter and then revise its direction. If the remote control helicopter flys inclining to the left , please pull the right lever to the right side . If it flys inclining to the right , please pull the right lever to the left side . If the head leans forward , please pull the left lever backward .If it leans backward, please push the left lever forward . Firmly grasp the throttle while you control the helicopter’s direction well and keep the aircraft up and down at the height of one meter. If you think it is out of your control , you can pull back the throttle lever to land it . It is easier said than done . You must keep practising . If you want to be as skilled as a veteran, it must be N times to practice .
Helicopter 3D practice
First of all , you should know what is a 3D remote control helicopter .The simplest answer is that it at least can hover invertedly, not fly invertedly , but upside down with its belly towards the sky.
some preparation before helicopter 3D practice :
A. the machine body preparation
1. the power upgrade is necessary;
2. the battery preparation, preferably with 20A discharge capacity of the battery;
3. the replacement of the unstable ball and the ball head buckle and the connecting rod;
4. metal rotor head components had better be assembled; (of course , the friends with good conditioners can fly without it)
5.3 D gyro sensitivity had better been set low . ( the 3D model 401 can be 40%)
B. basic preparation movements
1.8-bit hover can be stably controlled at the height of your head;
2.8-word inside and outside forward flight line can be very stable with ease;
3.8-word outside backward flight route can be out;
4.the four corners of the flight region overhead are best to be familiar to ensure there is no visual difference.
C. recommended practice steps and the situation to be paid attention to
1.pre-flight preparation; (remote control and the helicopter should be with fully charged batteries, remote control and the normal functioning of aircraft systems)
2.confirm that there is no repeted frequency;
3. find an open flight space, no trees or any barbed wire ;
4.the audience had better be behind you;
5.complete subjects practice as much as possible on the simulator, the proposed selection of Thunder Tiger 50V2 XTR practice which can increase the engine speed for exercises.
D. two directions in flying training (the pitch direction and the aileron direction)
⑴. the pitch direction
1.firstly,make a relatively stable 180-degree stalling reversion after a short route flying;
2.lengthen the route , then make a more stable 180-degree stalling reversion;
3.make both sides of the body somersault inward within a small radius overhead after a short route; (Routes can start a a higher height to ensure that the machine body is easy to roll as soon as possible. The machine body is close to make fixed rollovers);
4.make both sides of the body somersault inward within a big radius overhead after a long route; (slowly extend the route)
5.make both sides of the body somersault inward within a large radius at the head height after a long route; (Somersault round shoud be as large as possible. When cut into the route ,the closer to the ground ,the more difficult. Of course, it is relatively safe and nice at the head height)
6.make both sides of the body somersault inward at a fixed point; (pull pitch direction) (try not to let the body move the location, the weather with some wind is more difficult)
7.make the body ahead somersault inward at a fixed point; (the machine may run at its the illusion, be careful not to mistake rudder)
8.the pratice of the somersault outward is the same as above.
⑵. the aileron direction
1.flight exercises at the direction of the aileron. Make it fly overhead in a straight line playing the aileron towards the tail, and then change to the direction of the head, fly overhead in an opposite straight line towards the aileron . Practice repeatedly. This action will facilitate the accurate change after the failure of the roll.
2.continuous high-altitude lateral roll training towards the tail . It is to do more than 2 once . It is appropriate to remain it at the same height and roll laterally at a fixed-point. You should pratice both left and right side, do not prefer one side.
3.continuous high-altitude lateral roll training towards the head. Strongly recommend supplementary exercises of going back and forth straight in an aileron route and towards the head , or it will be very easy to lose sense of direction in the roll fails.
4.somersault inward towards the aileron after an aileron flight route.
5.8-bit inverted hover.
